In our pursuit of a meaningful life, many of us fall into the trap of measuring success solely by money. But true, sustainable fulfillment requires a broader lens.
I believe there are four essential forms of wealth — what I call The Wealth Quad — and they must be prioritized in the right order to live a genuinely rich and unruffled life.
#1 – Physical, Cognitive and Mental Health
Being financially rich means very little if your body or mind is failing you. As you age, the real compounding happens not in your portfolio, but in your health-span — how well you live, not how long you live.
The good news? Mental health is finally receiving the attention it deserves, and we now have countless ways to care for ourselves.
Here are some of the off-beat but highly effective activities:
- With Yourself — reading alone in a cafe, long walks in nature while listening to your favorite music or podcast or audiobook. Any physical activities would be great as well – those give you dopamine, which is known to be mood booster.
- With family — Immerse yourself in the present and cherish the simple joys of family time, especially when doing things together. And remember: celebrate every win, no matter the size.
- With Close Friends — Make it non-negotiable to spend quality time with your closest people.
Bonus Tip: choose a shared physical activity, like weekend pickleball with your friends — it builds health wealth and social wealth at the same time.
- With colleagues — pick most high-energy, positive, like-minded people at work and spend a few minutes with them, especially when the day is NOT going well.
Tip: Dive into Outlive by Peter Attia — one of the best modern “longevity scriptures” on extending both lifespan and health-span.
#2 – Money
Yes, money matters — a lot. It is the second-most important form of wealth after your health because it creates stability, optionality, and peace of mind.

#3 – Time
You can have a mountain of wealth and health — but if you’re time poor, you’ll never enjoy either.
If every hour of your life is spent chasing income, you’re silently accruing future health debt. Time is the currency of presence and enjoyment.
Tip: Choose work that gives you time wealth, even if it pays a little less. Use that reclaimed time to invest in your health, relationships, and inner peace.
#4 – Social Life
All right, now you got health, money and time but no like-minded buddies or a loving family to enjoy it, kind of an issue, eh?
Tip: Hang around with positive, full-of-live individuals who embody the Joie De Vivre spirit. You will always get a burst of energy when you are around them.
Bonus Tip: “Focus your energy on activities that build combined wealth. For example, I love playing pickleball regularly with my besties—getting the benefits of both health and social wealth at once.”
🧘♂️ Unruffled Life Pro Tip
Apply RICE method to take care of sprains, strains and more instead of hogging on analgesics. 👉 The ice bath or cold plunge does wonders to heal your muscles, which in turn puts less stress on your joints.
As always, stay rich and unruffled!
